Stefan at the EMC Fair Momentum in Barcelona. A somewhat different trade fair report.
Barcelona is like coming home
Taking off at 6 pm in Munich. Already at 9 a.m. I’m sitting in Barcelona’s Café Zurich at Plaza de Catalunya reminiscing in memories: many of my children’s days I have spent nearby in the holiday house of my parents. I’m setting off to buy my wife a souvenir. Because Lupo is a guarantee for success not only at Volkswagen.
Trade fair building with charm of the ‘60
At 11 a.m. I’m at our exhibition stand. Everything is in place. Except for the Spanish student, who was supposed to provide us with everyday objects. Let’s hope that she doesn’t take the "Mañana mentality" not too literally. She arrives at 14.30 – shortly before the start of the trade fair. Now we’re ready to go!
The Three Musketeers and the coffee machine
We are an experienced team. Together we have more than 350 years of experience in Documentum. In the course of the Fair Thomas, Alexander and I act like the three musketeers: I am responsible for reaching out to the visitors and getting them to our stand. When it comes to technical know-how, I’m involving Thomas. He provides interested trade fair visitors background knowledge. This way we arouse interest for our solutions and Alexander deepens the information on a concrete example. He has programmed the Prime Force App "Documentum To Go" and shows – in a simple and easy to understand way - what is it precisely that we can offer our customers. An excitement which is infectious: our presence at the EMC Fair Momentum raises the awareness of the brand Prime Force.
Our Nespresso coffee machine - the unique at the fair – becomes an audience magnet. Luckily, our fair responsible Lisa has made herself strong for that. Why did we decide to go for it? Because we are a Swiss company just like Nespresso. We take it exactly the Swiss way by keeping time and budget. That is the reason why I set my Clooney glance and say: "Prime Force - what else?"
Also a maker needs a break
Not a bad idea: we sponsor the chill out area of the fair. Because even a maker after three days of fair marathon needs a short break.
The fair dismantling and bye-bye Barcelona
Until now I was not aware that when dismantling after a trade fair, everything is smashed to bits. It is probably the most efficient form of "dis-mantling". The heck with it! The word “experience” on our booth was misspelled. This issue has been resolved.
Four exciting days in Barcelona have come to an end and I am looking forward to a reunion.
